What's on your plate today?

No, the Grounds manager I work with has about 60 trees. Also picked some pears today. My wife’s planning a pizza with pears and blue cheese drizzled with honey. It’s really good.
Interesting! One of those things like chicken and waffles, or spinach salad with watermelon. Sounds funny to say it, but so good. I didn’t even know pizza with clams was a thing until I met someone else from Connecticut.

Done right, clam pie is the bomb! Our daughter came back home to do her masters degree and her and the wife bonded over perfecting recipes. Pizza crust was one of the recipes, they use Lidia’s. Another of my favorites is caramelized onions, prosciutto and shrimp with a reduced balsamic vinegar drizzled over it.

I’ve heard CT has the best pizza in the US.

New Haven, specifically - Frank Pepe Pizza Napoletana.
Pepe's burns the bottom of theirs a little too much for me. Mondeern, Sally's and Lamonico's is better (IMHO). The key with New Haven pizza is the thin crust. As you get away from New Haven and its suberbs the crust gets a little thicker, not much but a little.
