Man Cave

Cool! You may find that problematic. The idea is to keep the room sealed off from the rest of the house when you’re in there smoking. One service vent in an attic room (no matter how well insulated) with no return vent re-conditioning the air, removing latent heat and humidity may get a bit uncomfortable in the summer for example. If you open the door and the return starts sucking and blowing cigar smell through the house, momma may take issue.
I found out the hard way when I renovated mine, and ended up with a ductless mini split that did the job and was so efficient, that I noticed zero difference in my electric bill.

Great points, tbh I probably will never get to actually smoke in there. It’s more wishful thinking/dreaming than anything else. Will definitely be a hangout and drinking room for sure!

Keep any cloth out of the room like carpet. Get leather furniture, and you just might be able to do it. I had six people in mine once, and the next day you couldn’t smell anything. Always empty the ashtray before bed. Momma might not object. 😎

Legit man cave right there. Solid brass!? Must way a ton, but I think it's so cool how you saved history from a land fill.

@TexasTraveler Any info on the historic mansion?
They are heavy, I made sure that the wall boxes were securely fastened. The home is in a historic neighborhood of Dallas and if I was guessing was built around 1910-1930 range. It was roughly 8000 sqft. It had some foundation issues and was actually just going to be partially demolished and rebuilt. But they had a pre-demo sale where if you could see it, it could be bought.

I thought red rooms were supposed to be red?
