Joni's first released live album and her first with a backing band since she started in Canadian coffeehouses in 1962 as Joni Anderson. It would be 40+ years later that 2 archival released from 1965 and 1967 showed her playing earlier live music.
A 2 record set with Joni and LA Express (most of whom played on her previous album Court and Spark but not as a band) playing on sides 1 and 4 and her solo on sides 2 and 3. At 78 minutes it barely fit on one CD by the time it was released in that format. All but 2 songs were recorded in The Universal Amphitheater the 2 songs never appearing on any album at that point. Love or Money still has never been on a studio album.
The album did well on the charts reaching #2 and the single Big Yellow Taxi got to #24 four years after the studio version only made it to #67. While it has never been expanded or remastered it remains a classic for all Joni Mitchell fans.

If you didn't recognize him that is Jeff "Skunk" Baxter on guitar known more for is time in The Doobie Brothers and Spirit. The real trivia is what he does now. He is a consultant on missile defense to Congress.

There was a point in my life when I was living a Skynyrd song. Pick any one of them. Im glad I made it through that phase unscathed.
RIP boys. I seen them a couple times in their reboot with Ronnie's brother as frontman in the late 80s. Organized a couple buses of rednecks to go see them.
