Had a few pints of Deschutes Mirror Pond last night. Very nice! A nice little crisp vacation from all the porters and stouts I normally have.

Old Rasputin XII - pretty damn good but nothing I would buy again.
For some reason I couldn't pull the trigger on that one. Pretty pricey.

Yeah in all honesty you can get BCS or KBS for cheaper and they are just as good. It tasted a bit like both but was light on the BCS style heavy molasses and vanilla. I enjoyed the experience though and have another review in my BA profile.

Had two Shock Top Belgian Whites
A Brooklyn Black Chocolate Stout
A River Horse Brewers reserve Oatmeal Milk Stout.........The guy at the store recommended it and it did not disappoint in the least.

TheWife© and I had a bottle of Gouden Carolus Cuvee van de Keizer from 2008 last night.

What a delightful brew for a cool and foggy night here in the Northland.

Thanks, Mick. This was a real treat.

Edited to correct spelling.

Alaskan Baltic Porter - damn good stuff but very sweet

Flying Dog's Winter Ale. It's alright. The best Winter ale I've had this year was Rush River's Winter Warmer (I think that's what it was called). It was a unique, spicy and caramel laden in flavor.

I had, and thoroughly enjoyed, my first Dogfish Head Raison D'Etre.

I've really enjoyed both beers I've tried from this maker. The first was the Indian Brown Ale.

I suspect I will be trying all of their offerings.

Surly Bender tonight. I think I enjoyed it more this time since I only had 2. I could actually taste it better without the numbing effect of several pints.

Still a bit too hoppy for me, but good. The sweetness came through a bit more in the 2 I had tonight.

Belle Gueule Originale - don't ask me how to pronounce it, we always call is "Sphinx with a Toque"

Pipeline porter is good stuff! I think I'm gonna crack open a bomber of Alaskan Smoked Porter later on today.

Made my first trip to The Foodery Beer here in Philly. I love this place. A huge select of singles. I here you can get better prices other places but the selection I think compensates and they let you make your own six piack with a 10% discount. I picked up about seven bottles and these are the ones I tried tonight....

Brooklyn Chocolate
Double Bastard
and taste of Breckenridge Remarkable Vanilla Porter

Its fun being a beer newbie...a whole new world to explore.

Drinking a smellysell Dubbel that's pretty damn good. Nice belgian style beer, Justin!
