ALONE...
Well, I feel like this forum has become a second home for me as of late you I figure all you BOTL/SOTL should know about a huge pivotal moment of my life...
Well, I have grown up all my life knowing I was an adopted child. I have never really questioned the location or status of my biological parents because as far as I was concerned, my present mom and dad are just that... my parents...
Other than that kind of mild curiousness one has while growing up, I have never been all that aggressive about finding out the details... (maybe out of fear of the unknown...)
The funny thing is, is that my best friend Matt (you all know him as HintOfToast) and I were just carrying on this conversation about adoption about a week and a half ago...
Well out of nowhere my biological mother called me at work yesterday and introduced herself... we had a moment of sobbing and a long conversation ensued... 25 years of catching up needed to be done!
She is a great woman and I am so glad that that part of my life has come full circle... I also found out that I have an older brother and a younger sister... Very cool in my opinion... To top it all off, my biological mother said that they have never forgotten me and they celebrate my birthday every year. Also my younger sister has a 4 year old baby boy that she named Jayden(spelled differently) in my honor... Kinda makes we all warm and fuzzy on the inside...
I am still in cloud nine over this whole situation and I definitely think a good cigar is in order for celebration...
Thanks for listening guys...
