Rough night last night for Pen's fans. If you watched the game, the call against Crosby 10 seconds into a game 7 was complete BS. Unfortunately, that set the tone for the evening. Fleury and Gonchar played horrible games. All that being said, give credit to the Canadians. They did what they had to in order to win. Their goalie played great, and their team capitalized on their offensive chances. We did not.

Oh well - Next year - New year - New arena.

Now who to root for to win the cup?

Did anyone take you up on your bet? I sure feel dumb for my smart ass comment, I should have taken the bet instead!

It must have been that St. Patrick's Day Green Flyers jersey I was wearing tonight (that a Rangers Fan sent me!)
Down 3 games to none, then down 3-0 in game seven.....it was a sad sight when they panned the camera around the TD Center when the Flyers were celebrating.

I actually did feel bad for the little kid that they showed crying though.

I do not know which one is worse in terms of teams ( or players) choking: being the Washington Caps and losing to Montreal even thought some picked the Caps to be strong contenders to win the Stanley Cup, the Cleveland Cavs, sorry wait I mean LeBron James and company losing to the Celtics, or what the Flyers just did to the Bruins.

FLIERS SUCK!...and they're lucky! Three soft goals to tie it, how embarrassing for the Bruins fans and the players to witness that! Wait until they play this buzz saw in the form of the Montreal Canadians, they'll come right back down to earth!

Nah, I can't give a Pens fan reason to talk shit to me unless we're playing the Pens. I just want to revel in the fact that we were 14th in the conference at one point and now we're in the Conference Finals...and the Pens are at home watching us!

3 soft goals?? Yea, van Reimsdyk's goal bounced off the entire Bruins team before it went in, but Hartnell's goal was a thing of beauty. A rising backhand from 6 feet, to go in the very top left of the net. Briere's had a little luck, but he was trying to bank it in.

I love how excuses are thrown out about how the team that DID win, won. How about the colossal collapse ( series AND game 7) for that other team? Anyone want to comment about how great the Bruins played in game 7 UNTIL they got that 3 goal lead....then they played dump the puck and keep the other team tied up in the neutral zone. That's what I don't understand. Go for the kill, one more goal takes the Flyers heart right out of the game, don't play conservatively with 4 minute plus two more periods to play!

BTW Gary, I must ask once again, where are your Rangers? If I remember correctly, it was Olli Jokinen's shootout shot that has us in the Conference Finals while Sean Avery is sitting on your couch with you watching the Flyers continue to win playoff series!

Well, Jon.....if you must know, it was Gary that sent me the jersey. He lost a bet to me on the Rangers/Flyers finale so instead of sending cigars, he customized a jersey for me. It has "Jonesy" and the number 2 on the back, and has an "A" on the front commemorating Infinity as Captain and me as his Assistant or Alternate Captain. I'll post a pic or two later today.

I think I've told this story before. I was a Habs fan before Orr. We couldn't get the Bruins on TV, but we could get the Habs. I mean in those days of Jean Beliveau, the Pocket Rocket, Yvon Cournoyer and Bobby Rousseau, (my hero) who wouldn't. They were a hell of a hockey team. Besides I was hittin' on J.C. Tremblay's niece in the eighth grade.

And she was a babe.

It's always neat to hear from Americans how their hockey intrests were shaped or began by picking up CBC over the air. I would have liked to have seen a Bruins Habs series.

Philly Habs should be good if the goal tending holds up for both.

That's what I'm worried about with this series...Halak has been the best goalie in the playoffs so far, so the Flyers will have to be perfect to beat him. It also doesn't help that the Habs dominated the Flyers in the regular season....but then again, this is the playoffs.
