Maybe I'm out of the loop, but all I saw was a couple print ads in cigar mags. Seems to me the vast majority of hype was created by members of cigar forums. :)

Can't comment on your smokes, but it's obvious with cigars like these that cedar w/label can be slipped off genuine article (which has been smoked) and reused on fakes of similar size. Proof is in the tasting.

Nice post, always interested to read about the cigar scene in Europe. I would have been interested to know the ballpark prices paid for some of the smokes.

I experienced the ammonia taste once with Monte #2's.
