I have a '68 Robusto that came in a Padilla 2009 Sampler from Cigar Bid purchased last month & it does not wear the 2nd band either. Nice to see I'm not the only one confused/concerned by this.

I could very well be mistaken, but I believe all Sungrowns have the black band. As well as the Don Carlos, I think, but that is stretching my knowledge of AF to the limit.
