Please help in choosing a humidor :)

I wouldn't keep them in the garage in the winter. Remember the 70% rh/70 deg rule of thumb. 70% RH when it's 30F in your garage, in the winter, is really dry for cigars. Moist and cool is what you want...but not WI cool. IMHO 65% rh/70 deg is a better than 70/70. The best place to have them is...

    Bless her heart for trying

2X MSPR...Wow! Ever been to the Burning Leaf Cigars downtown? They seemed to have good prices.

    Home from the hospital

Congrats man! Watch out! They grow up real fast and make you feel really old when they do!

Used to be the king of beers, until they changed their recipe. I heard they are brewing again with the original recipe. Well it's not getting much better over here. Wisconsin just pasted a smoking ban on all public places...except outdoors and existing cigar bars, and smoking lounges. :(

    XO Fine Cigars

Went there yesterday while I was stuck in the hotel with nothing to do. Good establishment with a great variety of smokes at good prices for a B&M. The lounge isn't as classy as some, but the guys there were great and Bob (the owner) knows his stuff. Nice custom walk-in humi with almost...

    Hello from Wisconsin

Haven't been to Madison in a couple of years...took the kids to the zoo, and hung out on state street. I'll have to check out the establishments next time I'm there. BTW, you can get a box of Onyx for $2-$3 a stick online. Here's a great reference I found for cigar PRICES. Not always up-to-date...

    Hello from Wisconsin

Hey from Appleton! How's Mad Town treating ya? Nice to see a fellow cheesehead on here. You'll find this site very informative, and entertaining...and everyone on here is class! 2X on the legal cigars. You'll come to find that Cuban's aren't all that. Don't get me wrong, there good, but there...

    Illusione ~hl~

Illusione ~hk~ 40 x 7 1/2" Filler: Nicaragua (Corojo ’99, Criollo ’98?) Binder: Nicaragua Wrapper: Nicaragua (Café Colorado) Smoking Time: ~ 2 hrs Price: MSRP $8.70 I've recently been turned on to the Illusione line when I smoked a 2 a coupe weeks ago, and an 88 a couple days ago. Both had...

    Cigar Resusciation Project

You can bring back these sticks, but it will take a long time and they won't be very good. When cigars dry up they loose oils and sugars that give them their flavors. I let some Monties get dry once and brought them back. It was like smoking cardboard, seriously...$15 cardboard. Like was...

What was your last purchase and how much you have spent on cigars?

Good on him for trying CP in English! I couldn't imagine trying to translate every post through google. My wife would have my balls...she says I already spend too much time on here. BTW, has anyone tried any Spanish sticks? They can't be all that bad as many big-name Cuban families exiled and...

    Famous Smoke Shop ?

Yah...I actually just read some of the online reviews of this store. Sounds horrible and overpriced. I wonder if the real Famous knows about this trashy little store ruining their name. I would have my lawyers all over this infringement.

    Famous Smoke Shop ?

A complete noob question for ya... I noticed there's a Famous Smoke Shop B&M in Milwaukee. Are they anyway related to the online Famous...is there a Famous franchise like the Tinder Box? I live in Appleton and drive to Milwaukee about 2X a month for work. Before I make a major detour over...

    Keeping a cigar lit...

gahau, I kept my humi at 70-75%, an found that I was constantly having burn issues, and occasionally draw issues. I decided to try dry boxing, and it made a world of difference. I don't use a box though. I just set them out in my office. It actually works like a charm because I can leave them...

    The Science of Tasting

When I started smoking cigars a couple of years ago I would lightly "bite" the head as I drew smoke, so the head of the cigar was farther in my mouth. I thought this looked cooler, kinda the gangster or Ditka way of smoking cigars. This is how I thought it should be done. Well I may have been...

    Tatuaje Cojonu 2006

I'll have to keep a closer eye on the radar tonight. I got one of these in the humi that I've been meaning to try...maybe before the Illusione '88'?

    Illusione 2

Went to my local B&M to see if they had any, but they only had the 88 and HL which they just got in, picked up an 88 and going to try it today. So many cigars and so little time! ;) I'll try to find it.

    Illusione 2

Filler: Nicaraguan Binder: Nicaraguan Wrapper: Nicaraguan (Rosado Oscuro Corojo?) $8-9 MSRP (A little pricey for an everyday :( ) 52 x 5 1/4 Belicoso Medium to Full bodied. I picked this stick up at the Market Tobacco Patch in downtown Seattle when I was there recently. Illusione was...

    Market Tobacco Patch

I almost went there instead, but it was a cab ride away from the Crown Plaza downtown. Plus I got the see them throw fish around for the first time, and get Starbucks from store #1 for my wife. Seattle is a great city...minus the traffic! That makes a little more sense...
