I host a herf/men's smoker at my place every month or so on Friday nights. We watch videos of jazz and blues concerts from the sixties, sometimes throwing in some do-wop, motown and classic country. We serve single malts and fine bourbons with the house rule that are drunk straight. Some craft...
BfreeBern, I find it strange that you would follow a member from thread to thread to harass them with unsolicited judgmental, comments. It's creepy. I've never experienced this type of BS and I've been posting since the dialup BBS days. I'm wondering if I should take out a restraining order. Get...
Thanks all, for sharing your experience and insights on this proposed trade. It is clear to me now that I should keep the Stonehaven.
It is easier to find ISOMs than than Esoterica blends. The MSRP doesn't reflect the true market value.

The opinions would be just one factor. I enjoy reading them and I often learn of some aspect that I hadn't considered. And frequently, the members opinions provide me with wisdom that I haven't accumulated due to ignorance or lack of experience. Your opinion is also appreciated and I understand...
He's making this more interesting. Offered to give me $100 retail trade of Olivas, Comachos, UnderCrowns, Prensados plus an ISOM Bolivar, Partagas, and a handful Fonseca Delicias. This in trade for 8oz of Esoterica Stonehave pipe tobacco. I didn't realize how fond I've grown of pipe blends...
I can hardly believe that this is a tough choice for me. A year ago I picked up the pipe again and started exploring the world of tobacco blends. Until then, I was exclusively a cigar smoker. I didn't realize how much of a convert I've become until an acquaintance proposed the following trade:

I'm going to get the Prensados. I like those and I'm getting about 70% off retail. I proposed that he send me 5 packs of the others you guy said were ok.
They've all been aged in cooladors for at least 2 years, so that might help.
BSB, you always come through.
Thanks all.
I'm in touch with someone who has a lot of Perdoma Lot 23; PERDOMO CHAMPAGNE NOIR MAGNUM 50 TUBO These appear to be value priced cigars. What are your opinions on these sticks?
He also has some Alec Bradley Tempus maduros, sun grown, overture and Siboney.
I love the AB Prensada but haven...
I picked up 10 tins this morning of Balkan Sasieni from 4noggins.com.(http://www.4noggins.com/balkan-sasieni-balkan-sasieni-50-g.aspx)
Rich is selling Balkan Sasieni for $5.05 a tin. A very good price is normally around $7.39. It often goes for $8.00 to $10.00.
Diaanos, you can not resist...
Actually, I've found many smokes that I enjoy that were recommended by others. Most of the smokes I listed were recommended or praised by other CP members.
If you haven't tried any in a selection, you have to base your picks on something. The band? The advertising blurbs? the brand name? The...
Ok, I need to re-stock and am in the market for good buys on boxes: Olvia G, O, V; AB Prensada, any Padron, AF classics or similar, etc. Meantime, I'll check the vendor forum.
Famous Smoke is offering 50% off of dozens of different labels. But I don't see one that jumps out as a quality smoke. If there a jewel hiding in here/

I recently had Riccardo Santia make me this artisan cob. I wrote the article below, the Story of a Custom Cob, for Pipes Magazine.

I also picked up this estate Stanwell, made in the late 60's or early...
This Kristoff was in a bag of smokes bundled to support Cigars Smokers of Americas efforts to fight legislation declaring only cigars over $10 a stick to be luxury for tax purposes. (Correct last sentence if any details need adjusted, please. Going from decrepit memory)
It had the closed foot...
Ya'll almost have me ready to go out and buy another VSG stick. Probably would if I didn't already have such a long wish list. I'll grab another at some point and give it a second chance.
IronPeddler, I knew you to smoke J.O.s fresh or age them, but I was thinking months, not years. But that...
Yeah, it happens. The first johnny-o I tried was as good as any cigar I've smoked. The next one was green and I couldn't finish it. Aged the rest for 9 months and while they improved, they were nothing like the first I got in a trade package.
Brickhouse, you beat me to the punch. I'm embarrased. Blame the $30 calculation on imminent alzheimers, and I'm not entirely joking. Relooked and recalculated and you're correct, the stick price was $16, not $30. My apologies for the mistake. Thanks all for bringing this to my attention.
But...
