It sounds to me like your taking this stuff a little to seriously, I can assure you that Jeff's not of the belief 'What's in it for me'. Just the other day he sent out a message to the group clarifying that it's NOT about getting, but giving. Jeff's one of the most giving people I know, rest assured that your opinion is not correct.
I wonder, is it maybe the 'FOG joke' thread (started by Jeff) and the 'FOG recruiting poster' (started by Jeff) actually worked as the propaganda tools that they were? Could it be that these posts were hearty (and humerous) jabs at the FOG's that you are so upset about?
Quite literally we're all people who like cigars, and are using this war as a way to share sticks with eachother, that's what I believe, and I know I share that sentiment with the noobs. None of this is 'serious'.

Great! Hope this works out! Like Mrepp, I would hate to see a good thing end before it barely began. Talking trash is OK to a point but, realize when it is time to quit. If you don't know when it is time.........Try to pay attention to the friendly reminder given and, not take it as a personal attack. Most of all don't lose sight of why we are doing this (read Mikes recent post, that covers it all).

Call me a girlie man ( I know I will regret that ) but I am very glad to see these last few post. I was becoming very uncomfortable with the way things were going. This method of communication makes it very easy to misinterpret what is being said and makes it very easy to offend and be offended. I know I was as bad as any when it came to the trash talking and offending others here.

Seems we are talking about toning down some of the talk and getting back to the hobby we love and sharing it with our B/SOTL. If so, I am all for it.

I hope we have not spoiled our little game and can continue with the fun, just in more tactful manner. I know I plan to continue sending out my little packages and hoping others get some of the enjoyment from them that I do.
