On the deck and smoking my first Joya de Nicaragua Antano Consul that was provided to me by one of Cigar Pass finest members (thanks Niko). My first take was that it was a bit overpowering in the beginning, but has settled in nicely after the first third. It is definitely a full bodied cigar. Even though I tend to lean toward a milder stick, this is really enjoyable and not to harsh. For the price, this is a nice stick. As far as full bodied cigars are concerned, Fonseca Casa Magna is still my go to.

I received it from the good folks down @ SmokeInn in Florida. I have done business with them plenty of times before. I am always grateful for the way they treat their customers and the attention to the proper packing of shipments. I even wrote them a e-mails and a letter before thanking them for such great customer service. It's funny too, our good brother Israel wrote a note thanking me for the continued business and the packaging was great. (Pretty sure he didn't realize the Austen Miller he sent it to was me or not, but I got a chuckle when I saw the name. Small world) I can assure that the damage due to the cigar WAS NOT the retailers fault.

I blame the fool who pulled a little too hard on the twine and the guy/girl who saw the cigar with all it's flaws and clearly wrapped it up to go out for sale (after realizing that a little more effort went in to getting the cigar box to closed due to the fact that the culebra was just too big). I know things happen, and mistakes are made. It just blows when your the unlucky one that pulled the winning ticket from sh*t lottery. Not to mention, I'm a bit of a collector ( to a degree ) and like to take such things as this box and set that aside a couple years for the right occasion. How great would it have been if I kept it sealed, only to bust it out a couple years from now with a bunch of buddies to find a complete mess. Just hate to see quality control slip sometimes...

Looks like I will be buying another one.

I wasn't trying to say it was the retailers fault the cigar was damaged. I was just saying that if it was a trusted retailer which SmokeInn is, they would be willing to help you.

I have ordered from SmokeInn a few times, and the transactions have always been very smooth.

Hope it all works out for you...
 
My buying has slowed down... gasp! Mostly due to a full wine-o-dor, and less frequent smoking, but I'm still putting down a few a week. More and more, my standard go-to cigar, and my last many purchases, is a box of Oliva Serie V Double Robusto. It used to be Tatuaje Regios... but at a little over half the price, these Serie V's never disappoint!

OH Paul ! Nice acquisition you got there my friend. I called Isy and grabbed the last LP9 he had. I loved that smoke (only had one and it was terminated this summer).
 
At a Drew Estates dinner last night we received:

2 - Undercrown Corona Viva
2 - MUWAT +11
2 - MUWAT Baitfish
2 - LP T52

And I snagged a box of my favorite Dirty Rats.

Anyone looking for #9's, T52's, MUWAT, Baitfish and undercrown, there was a bunch of boxes available at Famous Cigars after the event. The Rats and Pigs were gone in a flash.
