Today’s Smoke 2019

From 2014, these are pretty good... can’t see them aging too much longer, they are mild to begin with. So if you have Picadores, smoke them between 3 to 5 years old, or 20 plus... can’t go wrong 😊

I think you are on to something. IMHO, the 2007 PL Robustos de Larranaga RE Asia Pacific was tops from fresh-5 years. I smoked one at about 7 yrs old, while enjoyable, was not the same, had mellowed and muted out some. I found a rather enjoyable citrus acidity in them young, kind of similar to what is in many recent/current production Romeo y Julieta, along with what was a honey graham cracker like sweetness. I’ll look for what that box code was, as it was a CP split I had arranged.

Agree... one of my favorite breakfast cigars... Crazy how powerful the PLPC’s are fresh, and so mellow and sweet after 7 to 10 years...

Smoking.a Bolivar Soberano LE 2018. First stick from the box. I will definitely age this box a few years, but I wanted to have one for a point of reference. Has potential. Sweet at the start, surprisingly sweet. Then evolved into a young, earthy, cocoo, slight pepper with toasted almond.
I will try another in a few months. I was enjoying it and almost forgot to take a picture of it.

This 858 was amazing down to the nub! Huge thanks to Brad for the opportunity! These will be a mainstay in my humidor!

Cheers

The green band Fuente 858 is one of my go-to's. I've always got a stash of those things in my fridgidor (well, bottom of a cooler at the moment). I prefer the natural to the maduro -- I'm one of the weird ones, I guess...
