I remember when Kansas was dry and you had to belong to a bottle club to drink. Real PITA.I pull into Topeka, KS this evening. Get my hotel checked into and off to the liquor store I go. Just as I pull up, the lights go out. Yup, they close at 8pm! It’s 8:01. Not a problem. Gas station is right next door with beer signs all over. I go in, grab a six pack and head to the register. DENIED!!!! Johan tells me he’s so sorry but they can’t sell after 8. It’s 8:02 on his watch. The fella behind me, holding a case of beer says the same thing I said, “You gotta be shittin me?!” Nope, he even refused an offer to trade a six pack for a $20 bill!!! Phukin Kansas!
Not to let this deter me, I spot a BWW just up the block. I belly up to the bar, order a ML bottle and a double Makers w/o ice. With Out Ice!!!!
Yup, you guessed it, plumb full of the frozen water.. At this point, I give up. I strain the liquor into another glass and here I type!
Not gonna be a good trip!

When we lived in Arkansas we used to have a sledge hammer that had "BFH" laser etched into the steel sledge. There was no other sort of branding or marking on it. No trademark. Nada. Just "BFH". I have no idea where it came from, and I have no idea where it went. I guess it's just one of those things where it appears to you when you need it most in life.
(It's funny how duct tape, plastic wrap, rope, and a cinder block all appeared at the same time, too...)

Very possible, though I don't believe it was that old; it had a black fiberglass handle. I just figured it for "Big Fookin Hammer".

Most excited I've been for golf season to start in a long time. Tried swinging a club because my shoulder has been bothering me since hurting it snowboarding, yeah that's not going to happen.
Starting today going to be opening the weight room early before school so kids that are doing sitting sports (mainly my son) can lift still. Guess I'll be starting with my old shoulder theraband exercises I've been doing for seemingly all of eternity...

I know I don’t know you guys very well but if you are the praying types I could use some prayers. We need to put our 12 year old Pug down today. He is the best dog ever and we love him so much it’s just hard. He got diabetes about a year ago and it’s been a downhill battle since. He’s been in a wheel chair for a long time too. Man we love him.
