After looking at this, do you have to remove the whole thing to put wood in? Also I wonder if I can put it over my screened top or if there would be some detrimental effect to the top or how the deflection of heat works?
I think the original version only allowed for really skinny logs but this version definitely lets me feed the fire with good sized logs. As for the screen, I have seen pictures on Reddit of people using them together without any issue. I think its a bit belts and suspenders but from the few pictures that I have seen, they don't seem to have an issue. Although, I don't know how removing the screen to add more logs would work, not having a screen myself.

Honestly, it would be a terrible idea for the screen top at the very least, because you can’t touch it and must remove it with these too small handle things. I mean anything can be done but the more crap there is, the more you could get burned.

The side part of the screen would likely work but it also inhibits getting the logs in. For us, the purpose of the screen is to keep popping embers from landing in nearby furniture and burning holes in it.

It’s good to know it could fit over it though and it might offer enough protection on its own from hot embers.

Nice carving tool! Watching a good rider hung the ground as he/she turns is always joyful. I played with boarding when our children were young and we wanted to stay in a group but I went back two planks as soon as I couldn't keep up with them on a board.
Had a crazy pow day this weekend, and was really missing my old swallowtail that I broke, so decided to pull the trigger with it on sale. Bonus points that it should be a good, back foot carver too.
