that's what I did, I cut my own veneer and used a vaccu-press veneer system in 4x8 poly bags. more fun anyways, I love bookmatched veneer construction Finished humidor

thank you guys for the kind words. the cooling and RH system is an Accu monitor with 2 peltier units and 4 large canisters for distilled water and it's working great. Just a great feeling to have my cigars taken care of. uhm, the watch is a Panerai

after about 3 months of weekend laboring my humidor is finally done. it's cooled with 2 peltier units and so far just humming along. humidity is already there , temp is still pulling down, only a few more degrees and I finally have a safe place for my cigar collection. here now a few pics of...

the glass is ready tomorrow. it was ready on thursday but they messed up the order, clear instead of sand blasted dual pane glass here a pic of the face frame and the doors I'll post pics when everything is done tomorrow or tuesday

I have a little update, doors are built, everything is ready to go, and tomorrow I am picking up the sandblasted dual pane glass, install it and it's done. I should have my cigars safe in a few days. it's already 63% humidity in the house, so it'll season quick.

the holes, including marking and drilling took maybe 45 minutes as for cost, just in materials I have about $2500 in it.....ish. I did buy a few tools that I "needed" :whistling: but yeah, I don't count the hours, cheaper than therapie

and now all the shelves and the drawers for single cigars are done. lots of drilling holes:mad:

this coming weekend if all goes well I got the whole system from the Avallo guys, it's really not that humid, 65% is kinda what it is around my neck of the woods anyway. in my house it's already 62%

oh yes it will, not that I already tried. but I am still far from owning 100 boxes :whistling:
