My first pipe was a corncob, probably when I was 16 or 17, but it didn't last long, probably because of the tobacco I was smoking. After years of cigarette smoking I began smoking cigars and then worked my way back to the pipe- full circle!

Wow, great pipes! I need to take a road trip up to Boswell's shop one of these days. It's only about an hour and 15 minutes or so from where I live in Maryland.

The one type of pipe I still need to pick up is a meerschaum. Does anyone have any recommendations for a moderate priced meerschaum? I'm not sure where to start. Is there better quality meerschaum or is it all about the pipe carver style? Thanks!
