Well, I've received little to no response from any of the shops I've contacted. I was looking for perhaps a park or something where we could fire up a grill, but state parks don't allow alcohol (I guess cups would work) or are not fans of cigar smokers. I think, if we intend to get some people...
The kids are inside putting the finishing touches on a father's day project (this has been going on forever) so I was unceremoniously banished to my man cave. How tragic. Enjoying an amazing cigar from the La Palina unreleased sampler. It is the number five for anyone else who picked one up.
Sorry I went missing, I know I am suppose to be spearheading this. Finally sitting down to a cigar after a crazy two months. I checked around with several shops asking about the number they can entertain, alcohol policy, etc. and I have not heard back from a single one. Pretty disappointed...
If you're just starting out, don't bother laying anything down because you'd be better off spending that money on trying different things. There are very few whites that are meant to be aged and most of the reds you find on the shelf at the grocery or liquor store aren't either. However, that...
I forgot all about Propellerheads. I'll have to dig that out. Yesterday was a Modest Mouse day. But not the s**t they've put out in the last several years, the good stuff. This Is a Long Drive for Someone with Nothing to Think About, The Lonesome Crowded West, The Moon & Antarctica. Adding...
Well, maybe a good start would be to ask what date does everyone have in mind that works best for them? There didn't seem to be too much interest from Indiana, so I think centralized Ohio might work best.
Aww hell, I didn't know this was already on. Read the book first. I don't know what the show is like, but in the case of comics or books adapted to the screen in cases like the Walking Dead, the entire feel of the story is changed.
Although it is technically a young adult or children's book...
I'll start working on it. I'll look for a place in the western side of the state as well as something more central. Kinda just depends on who wants to come and from where.
Would anyone be opposed to a location that isn't a B&M? I'm thinking a smoke friendly bar or park venue. Just something...
This I take to heart.
And what a great short. I'd never seen that but it reminds me that the dogs will be in for one heck of a treat come solid food time!
I'm not sure what is in the dead zone between Cincy and Toledo. Is there any interest from anyone in Michigan or Indiana? Columbus seems to be the most centrally located area and there is plenty to do though I know we stumbled finding a suitable place to meet there. I'm willing to make the...
Thank you for all of the well wishes. I've got a million plans, but as it was pointed out, time goes quickly and I'm going to focus on the now. Got a clean bill of health from the Dr today so we are out of those woods and into whatever woods come next. He's wonderful. He started feeding on...
I picked up a La Palina sampler from Atlantic. Ten unreleased and unmarked blends numbered one through ten. The price was great even if they end up being yard 'gars though I suspect there will be some gems.
... to get my s**t together and realize that life was about more than work and more work. I learned to kick back more, to stop thinking and enjoy my cigar, and that my blessings have been endless (although I squandered many of them). On Monday I received the pinnacle of blessings. Meet Oliver...
I had several because I am a big LFD fan. Are they LFD's best stick...not by a long shot. But at the price point I think they are a damn good cigar if you like the stuff Litto puts out.
That's what you get for living in the middle of nowhere...a two plus hour drive to just about anything. I'm in if we can find a date that isn't too soon.
