Perhaps I never made it clear in my previous post ... In 2004 or 2005 I was asking at an lcdh ( a busy lcdh at that ) specifically about diplomaticos and q'do's because that is what I wanted to buy ... Her answer re q'do's specifically was " they don't stock many because they only sell 2 or 3...
The 63rd and avenida premiera store in varadero used to sell 2 or 3 boxes of q'do's a year ... This is a busy cigar store than probably sells 1000 boxes of cigars a month ... Any wonder the brand gets pared down to 1 ???
If q'do's were so great all yall would have been buying them a decade ago...

I don't smoke a lot of cigars ... perhaps 200 a year ... but I don't remember the last time I got a plugged one ... has been years .

"birds of America" double elephant folio ... was 4000$ in (about)1835 and over 200 copies were sold ... a copy recently sold for 11.5 million $ .
think of it as an investment ... in less than 200 years ... it will be worth a bazillion dollars .

it is an inexact science to say the least...if you ever do find a for sure method to determine which cigars will age the best...please let me know.

in london...jjfox and davidoff are only 1/2 a block apart.
just ask a cab drive for davidoff or jjfox or the ritz on st james.
be prepared to pay a hefty price but both stores have an impeccable reputation.
spend some time talking to the old boy at davidoff's...we/he talked of the...

bolivar is my favorite brand and 42ring is my size...in as little as ten years 42ring bolis are in the "great cigar" category.

siglo I...to me is perhaps the best young/fresh cigar of any size.also one of the strongest...so be prepared.
i do love my shorts though...but if younger than about '03 i would get the sig I's.

this statement above is wisdom...if nicotine is what you want...all the really strong cigars are non-cuban(they have to compensate somehow).
if you are looking for full flavour...try something in the smallish sizes...corona or petit corona or tres petit corona.
