With the 5 1/2 inches of rain we've had in the last three days, the creek is running a bit high...

The high water undermined a huge old maple, and it fell over. The root ball is 15-20 feet across, and guessing the maple was 90-100 feet tall. Impressive. Wish I was I there to see if fall (though not under it ). Hope the pics do it justice...

I wonder if it made any noise?

Hunker down and take care. The cold front has pushed through here, that generally spells bad weather for folks south and east of here.

We got off pretty easy, maybe an inch of rain then not a lot of snow. Technically a "blizzard" due to snow and wind speed, but it's not even below freezing this morning. Still plenty of wind, calling for 50+ all day.
