I just finished a Bridgeport Hop Czar. Next up? Duck-Rabbit Milk Stout.

If you like IPAs try their Elissa IPA...it's pretty good. Their Winter Stout is a really nice stout. The Divine Reserve series is usually top notch but those sell out within a few days when they're released in most areas.

Tried those first two, didn't taste like urine, but didn't taste as good as better cheaper beers. Haven't tried the third one you mentioned, but I'm done with St. Arnold, they got enough of my money and choice words.

Drinking a Köstrizer Schwarzbier right now. Closest thing I have to stout from the mainstream German brewers.

About the same. I picked up a single, and I'm glad I did so I don't have to worry about drinking any more.

I'm drinking my first Guiness. Doesn't seem to have much flavor.

First one ever?

I don't know what it is about that beer, but it seems you have to drink a few and acquire the taste. They are not as in your face as some of the hoppy microbrews, or the local stouts that you see here.

Guinness is more of a creamy concoction than anything to me............Still love it though.

Yep,first one ever. I'll take your advice and hold off judgment until i try a couple more.

If you want a little more flavor just drop a shot of irish whiskey and baileys in the glass. Mmmmm

Yep, Guinness doesn't have a very strong flavor. It's pretty much all bark and no bite. I still like it though. But for a more intense stout experience, there are tons out there to try.

Edit to add: grab some Bass Ale and make a black & tan. Now that is some good stuff!

For a nice irish dry stout look for North Coast Old #38 or not a stout but damn good Mad River scotch porter

Haha, I was wondering whether you were fantasizing or weren't paying attention. Since you were fantasizing...no worries! I do it all the time with beer.

Went to the local Flying Saucer for rare beer they had on tap. It was Real Ale's Real Heavy aged in French and American Wine barrels that are blended together. Very interesting and complex beer that had tons of fruity wine flavors with a malty backbone.

Followed that up with a Harpoon Leviathan Imperial Red which was hoppy as all hell.

Also had a Stone IPA. Good stuff, but some other IPA's I prefer much more over this. Still enjoyed though! Thats what counts!!
