From my reading here I think the difference between the compressor and the TE is that the compressor sucks out humidity more because it has a defrost kind of mode like fridges. As far as condensation it is dependent on the temp difference between inside and out or how much it runs to maintain...
For the folks who run theirs and recycle the condensation from the unit into the beads they rig a shute into a container at the bottom with beads in it like a plate.
For me what I done was to go buy some of those disposable sandwich size rubbermaid like containers made by ziplock. I used...
Jeeze what luck.
Ive been looking on Craigs List for over a month for a used one and snagged a non-TE Ewave last Sunday for $50. Got it up and going two days ago and now this comes along.
Go figure.
For those looking for trays Bargain Humidors has trays and they have them on sale right now...
Another vote for the LGC wavell.
Also Sancho Panza double maduro Quixite....$35 box. Ive yet to be dissapointed with these.
ERDM robustos are pretty good also for the money.
Thanks for the link. I have looked at the Rubbermaid coolers at Sams more than once and could never figure out how to make any kind of a stand for it.
It would only be $10 more than what I paid for the 100 qt coleman so $10 for 50% more capacity. The coleman does have more slots for shelves so...
I'm poised to upgrade coolers to a 100 qt marine and want to have it verticle so I wont have to dig through boxes to get stuff out.
Anyway Im running into a dead end trying to find a way to have it stand on its end and not wobble or fall over. I removed the handle and tried velcroing it to a...
I use an Oust fan with beads. Since beads are passive I think it keeps things uniform and returns things to normal faster after opening and introducing some outside air.
Its hard to argue with the price and lack of trouble with an Oust. I get about 3-4 months out of a battery
Im upgrading to a 100 qt marine and found the seal lacking. Got some 3/16x3/16 sticky back foam insulation from HD and it seems to have fixed it.
Note to newbs when shopping for your first cooler, go through them and try and find one with the tightest fitting lid. You may find the one you like...
Another vote for Otterbox.
I have a two-fer for daily take alongs and a 15 ct for extended trips. I got mine from a B&M near where I used to work. The price was close to mail order when you figured shipping.
You could go with a rubbermaid type container also.
I scored one from Wally World thats holding up all right.
See here.
The first one did have an issue communicating with the base but it wasnt a problem exchanging it and the 2nd one has been humming along ever since.
I havent salt tested it as I use beads and just watch for a change in...
The look that Ray Lewis gave the sideline from his knees when they had the Pats stoned on 4th down only to be trumpted by the coachs calling a time out and saving the Pats undefeated season said it all for me...and everyone else with two brain cells to rub together.
Im a Redskins fan but...
I was out on the deck enjoying a tasty stick for the new year and got to thinkin..some folks here get to travel. For me I have a cruise coming up in a couple weeks. When said folks get to travel out of country they immediaetly think of where they can acquire some legit ISOM's.
Since we're...
Since like 76 you have not been able to buy handguns as a resident of DC. If you had one up to that time it must be registered. Shotguns or PC long guns must be unloaded and kind of disassembled and locked up.
Some residents, including one person from the Cato institute, challenged the HG ban...
