    Next Question: Favorite Lighter

The Xikar triple flame is a very good lighter. Once I made the adjustment, it has worked quite well.

A Fuente Super Belicoso VS the Shark 77

Very excellent information jfields. Looks like the super belicoso has the rounded foot which is what I bought. I originally wanted the Opus X Perfexion #2, but can not find singles on line anywhere. I went down to my local cigar store and found something close to it.

A Fuente Super Belicoso VS the Shark 77

I was wondering if anyone knows what the difference is between the Opus X Super Belicoso and the Opus X Shark 77? They both are torpedos with the same length and ring gauge.

Should cigarettes be banned in public places?

Where will it end? Collegestu. Its gone too far. I remember 40 years ago when I was in my late teens you could smoke anywhere you wanted. Never, ever a problem. They didn't even have separate smoking areas. I remember how the general public screamed when they started making us go to separate...

How Do You Smoke Your Cigar?

I personally find that if I don't rush the cigar smoking experience, I will enjoy it much more. I smoke cigar lengths of 5.5 to 7 inches with around a 52 ring size. If I am relaxed, it will take me around 2 hours average to burn one. A rule of thumb, I have heard that a draw a minute are there...

    Today's Smoke II

I lit up one of these CAO Golds and I'm drinking some Yellow Tail with it this evening. Its a beautiful evening here in south Louisiana. I lit it up about a hour ago. It's wonderful. A real sleeper and one of my go to's.

    Don Pepin Classic Black Toro

Well, here I go again lighting up another DP Black Toro. I have started my 3rd box of these delicious Corojo 99 wrappers that they put around some really mature nicaraguan filler and binder. A 6X52 that he calls the 1950. This is so close to the same taste as the Cohiba Siglo VI. It really has...

    Rocky Patel Vintage 1990

I have purchased a couple of boxes of the 1990 vintage toro over the last year. I find them to be exactly as advertised. Old tobacco that has been sitting around in a barn for nearly 20 years. I can taste it and it is delicious, this old stuff. I just ordered a bundel of 25 of the Toros and they...

    Today's Smoke II

I lit up a Ashton VSG Robusto about an hour and a half ago. Just about finished this delicious baby, down to the nub now. No special occasion, just found in one of the humis and my mouth started watering. My next one will be the DP Centurion robusto. Enjoy this hobby.

Are these good prices for opus/anejo?

Those are some very good prices dlow. Especially on the Opus. Opus and other fine premium cigars need to be aged for a while in a humi before enjoying. I find that the Opus X needs at least 6 months rest time before smoking. Actually a year makes them even better if you have the patience. This...

Whatcha Smokin On The 4th of July?

July the 4th is always a celebration for a really good cigar. I plan to be lighting up either a Opus X Perfection #2 or a Cohiba Siglo VI. Of course, where I live is very hot so I plan to have a few Margarita's along with this fine stogie. So, whatcha plan on smoking or what are you smoking?

    Today's Smoke II

Last night a monte #2. Very excellent stogie aged for a year. I'm having a Fuente Don Carlos torpedo now. This is still a little young, just 4 months in the humi, but my patience ran out. This has a camroon wrapper that is very tasty. I think the don carlos line is one of the best in the world...

    Today's Smoke

I am having this evening a Don Pepin Black Toro, wow! This is a Nicaraguan puro that is 6x52 Toro. It has a Nicaraguan Habano Rasado wrapper I belive. A beautiful tasting cigar all the way to the nubs of your fingers. After this I will have another Pepin. The El Centurion.

Anyone Up For A Smoke In Metairie, La.?

I am new to the forum here. I was wondering if anybody in the New Orleans area ever meets to smoke a casual cigar. I know of a few places in Metairie that are cigar friendly that serves drinks such as Winston's Pub on Metairie Road. I would rather stay out of New Orleans because of the crime...

    Today's Smoke

Earlier this month, I found this fuente anejo # 55 at a local cigar store selling them real cheap, unbelivable $13.50 each! This is my first time smoking one of these big babies. I was undecided as to a good time to smoke this thinking it needed some humidor time. This should age well. It's...

    Should I buy a humidor

A humidor adds class. Get a good one and spend some bucks. They are like a piece of furniture and will last forever. Just keep it at the proper levels and your smokes will thank you for it. I aquired four of them over the years and I'm glad I did. Badhangerover is correct about the prying eyes.

    Today's Smoke

I'm chilling out with a beautiful CAO Gold Torpedo. The best bang for the buck I have ever found, yet. Really nice aroma all the women like. Rich tasting cream and coco, wrapped all up in a gorgeous Ecuatorian Connecticut seed wrap. Not too bold, but lots of tasty smoke. I'm smoking this jewel...

Fay is gone, but not forgotten

We've been getting it since about 9 this am. Slow all day soaker into tomorrow. Flash flood watches all day. But, yeh AKmik the Weather Channel really cashed in on this one. What would have happened if it were a Cat 3 or 4. I started smokin a Don Pepin Black a little while ago to relax and...
