I'm no expert on mold, other than I know it's bad for cigars, good for some cheese, and I don't want it growing in my basement. I'm also no chemist but if you're proposing using roughly 1/3 oz bleach for 128 oz water and ever so lightly dampening a cloth, will that even be enough bleach to do...

My Dad just got back from an extended bike trip, and in a bit of unfortunate weather his GPS unit got a little wet and no longer works. Do any riders here have recommendations or experience with a good weather resistant or weather proof GPS?

Just a little PSA on GPS car navs... try to avoid storing a waypoint called "Home" at your actual house location. If they stole your gps and/or your car, the thief will know where you live and at the moment of the robbery you aren't home either. Sorry to hear of the break in Jeff.

Most car GPS units receive only and do not broadcast a position. Edit to add: unless it is some new fancy one, but unlikely in the $150 range.
