Samuel Adams Chocolate Bock is Back!

I called the largest store in our area and the guy happened to be on the other line with their Sam Adams sales rep. He had no info and could only say that it would be out sometime this month. I do know that the store around the corner from my house will be getting Brooklyn Brewery Chocolate Stout in today! :thumbs:

Really? Man, maybe I need to give it another shot. I thought it was decent, but I can think of several other bocks that I thought were better. Add the $15 price tag and its a hard sell but maybe this years batch will be better! :thumbs:

x2, I have a pretty good selection being out here, ah hell ... you can even say I'm spoiled with all the choices that are available, but there always seems to be a few random, hard to get ones. Stone's Bitter Chocolate Oatmeal Stout is an excellent sem-sweet choc. bursting with flavor. Bell's Hell Hath No Fury is a strong dark belgian ale, still waiting for their Special Double Cream Stout to come out, and last but not least, Penn Brewery's St. Nicholaus Bock is another good choice.

With all the Winter Warmer's coming out now/very soon, I might start a thread with good/recommended brews and your input would be most helpful :thumbs:

I'm not much on chocolate, but I do like most anything Sam Adams puts out. I'll certainly give it a go if I spot any.
 
I just tried this last night and have to say it was great!!! I work for Pepsi so I know all the vendors and I talked to the Sam Adams rep and he can get me a case for $135. That is the stores cost. A friend of mine wants to split it with me.
 
You're lucky you were able to find it already. I checked with a few stores in GA today. Not available yet.

I picked up some today at Total Wines in Jacksonville, they had at least 30 cases.

I spoke to a buddy of mine who lives in the Philly area and he got a bomber for $25 bucks, wow, talk about an upsell ... I believe the MSRP is about 15, so they are making a killing. He said it wasn't bad, but he was kinda disappointed in the bock because it wasn't as rich and thick as he hoped it could have been.

I'm in the market to get some The Abyss hopefully, I hear it's a dynamite beer.

Big time score for me, I have just returned from the beer store with a wonderful addition to the fridge......... At retail too! :thumbs: No price gouging there and they can get me as much as I want for the time being. I called them yesterday and they ordered in for today, that was after I called all around the NEPA area I finally called the Distributer that supplies the beer stores in the area and they told me that nobody ordered it at all and they are sitting on a bunch of cases, plus the Wifey has two more cases on order from another beer store in N.J. she goes to every Friday for me. She is the best. :thumbs:

Just came home with my case yesterday! I am splitting it 3 ways, though, but I got the PA case discount price w/ no ridiculous mark up. How's that for issues?

You're not enough of a hophead to appreciate the Hallertau Imperial Pilsner, which I think is pretty damn good. The Holiday Porter and Old Fezziwig are nice seasonals, too.
 
What is everyone paying for this... I have a local that has it for 14.99. Probably only 4-6 bottles. Let me know if your interested
