What beer did you drink today? 2014

Too many to list over the last week or so, but this has been a standout from Deschutes Brewery in Bend Oregon. Their Black Butte 26th Anniversary Ale. One of those beers that has you trying to guess what new flavor you're tasting with every mouthful. Chocolate, cocoa, molasses, pomegranate, cherries, cranberries, etc., etc. Hard to believe it's 11%! Bottle label says this will be best after 06/13/2015....... Hard to imagine as good as it is now!

Been a fan of the black butte for a while, been meaning to try it heads up against the Abyss.
 
Fun fact of the day, did a double blind tasting of Sculpin. Comparing Sculpin from a fresh Bomber, and the tap.

Both tasted good, with the Sculpin from the tap having a much larger bouquet on the nose, and effervescent body. From the Bomber it was almost flat, and muted. Such a huge difference between two of the same beers.

Central Waters Barleywine and my last bottle of Founders Big Lushious.  Both very delicious.
 
Had a couple Oskar Blues mama'a little yella pils. Delicious, creamy with a sweet finish. Smooth.
