    Cigar Aficionado's Gift Subscription

I am ordering my dad a year's subscription. It offers a second subscription for "free" to be added to the first. PM me if you want me to add your address as the second recipient for a free year's subscription. edited: I don't know if you need to be a new subscriber or not.

    Help locating a small humidor

I am wanting to make a cool humidor (don't want to describe it too much yet cause I want to showcase the results in a few weeks). Does anyone know where I can get a small humidor with dimenisions less than 9"x6"x2"? The exterior finish does not really matter.

    Flavo Flave in the Humi

Hey gang: So, I ordered a box of cigars online and their incentive was an add-on fiver of CAO flavors. "There not for me, there for a friend of mine." Seriously, I am going on a men's outing at the end of the month where the guys in the past would bring Backwoods, so I do figure I can get rid...

    Back in Carolina

So I have graduated and have moved back to North Carolina. It is great to be back in the home of the Panthers, NASCAR and Sweet Tea. I have returned to the Charlotte area, but I left the area before I started smoking cigars. Therefore, I am looking for a good cigar store/bar. Any suggestions?

    Do beads go bad?

No offense viper, I just have never gotten these beads to calibrate well. I don't know if it is me, the humy or if the beads have gone bad. I purchased the 65s, but the humi level wavers in the 57-60 range. I have had the beads for at least a year and a half. In the past I had to have a...

    Moving and Cigars

Hey folks: Here is the delimma. My family and I are moving out of our student housing at the end of this month, but heading to my folks place as we look for a job. Most of stuff is going in one of those PODS--so I know the cigars cannot go in there. I figure I will have to temporarily...

    Cabinetry Help

I have seen some great carpentery work on this site, so I thought someone may be able to help me out. The below three pictures are of a set of hinges on my custom built desk (the maker has since died). Any clue on how I may find them (Lowe's guy just laughed), an HTML link would be much...

    24 Finale and a Smoke

Heading over to a buddies house to watch the finale. Not one of their best seasons. The president twist was a tough sell after making his character so weak and wishywashy to know be some strong headed mastermind. Reintroducing Bierko with one episode left was also a stretch. Too many holes...

    Shops in Jerusalem?

As the cigar aficinado in my group of friends, I get an email from a buddy who just arrived in Jerusalem and wanted to pick up some "real" cubans for me at a discounted price. Now, I have no interest in him finding me some real cubans, but I don't want him to accidentially pick up for himself...

    Time for a new Laptop

Last Saturday the hard drive to my Sony Vaio crapped out...a week before finals began. Lost most of my semester's work, and have spent the past week getting my work done. But alas, I will probably need yet another laptop and I am curious what people suggest. I am looking to spend $1000-$1500...

    staying cool

I have a 150 count desktop humidor. Temps are creeping up in NJ and I live in a centralized ac/heat apartment. Stupid beaurocratic states won't let the school flip on the AC until a certain number of hot days...yada yada. All this to say that my humidor temps are at 75-76 degrees right now...

    Turks and Caicos

Heading the Turks and Caicos for some island, diving, relaxing fun. Any folks know of nice/real cigar shops (other than the dudes on the beach with amazing deals) on Provo? Staying at Ocean Club West so folks with good knowledge of the island any resturant suggestions I would take too...

Romeo y Julieta Reserva Real Toro

Size: 6 by 54 Age: Infancy, less than two weeks in the humi @ 65% It was fairly cold outside (by a Southerners standards), but I have not had time for a cigar in while so I braved the 20degree weather (I hear the snickering) to try this cigar that I got from that Altadis deal about two weeks...

    Pricing

As I wait patiently to get enough posts to be received into a Pass here. I was curious about the "pricing" issue. I have noticed that some request $3-$7 stix, or $1 stix, etc. What are people basing those prices off of. Example, most of what I have gathered over the past few months have...

Romeo Y Julieta Reserve Maduro #4

Long time reader, first time reviewer: Romeo Y Julieta Reserve Maduro #4 * Size: 5 Gauge: 44 Age: immature--recieved it in the mail and lit it within a week, so take that into account. Draw: Extremely tight draw. I was expecting a quicker smoke due to its size but the draw on this cigar was...

    Conscious Cigar Smoking

...not trying to make this political (moderator if you feel it is then feel free to delete this thread) But I am curious to hear from those folks who have toured the cigar factories about working conditions. I have tried to do some research on the net, but the fact that since these places are...

    What's that called?

Last year I had a great cigar someone gave to my father--neither of us recall the box, So thought I would discribe the cigar Maduro about 4-5inches thin gauge the thing that might make this possible is that they were somewhat rectangular shaped. Box ran about $120 Red ribbon ran between the...

    Breaking it In

Like I said (in my introduction) I got a decent 150 cigar humidor for Christmas. Cedar interior, no finish I went to the local cigar shop to get advice on how to break it. So yesterday I put in a sponge and the humdifier (the black thing with green stuff inside it) with distilled water, and...
