never warmed to these. they have some strength but are far from the strongest smoke out there. try a joya de nicaragua antano if u want a real kick in the pants... lol although these have some strength i think these dont have much flavor. got a couple buddies that love these, though. lol
you know, a lotta guys i know raved about these. the first 5 i smoked left me wondering what all the fuss was about. lol they are pretty good smokes but not anything i would keep around. unless they went on super blowout. lol
i like the tri-press ones best. corojo, maduro and cameroon in order. made by torano, i believe. i think they are good specimens of the particular wrapper types.
had a bundle of corona size, dont remember what number they were. dont thing they were the 85, which is a cuban corona iirc. havent had one in a while but last one i did was a good maduro wrapped dominican, not dissimilar to other maduro wrapped dominicans.
had a couple of these alt el. they run about $25 or so for a bundle of 20 and are a great value. i reserve the right to hold a final opinion til about april when they have had some time to set up. most bundles ive had need 4-6 mos to develop.
i like the gpecc el. i have the hermoso size. liked the old gpecc with the thin, plain band. i think they changed when they added the fake cuban seal and were not as good. they run about $2/per and are good for that price. pretty full bodied with some earthy-type flavors
in the 'flor de oliva' lines the regular is my least favorite. i like the boxed cammies and maddies, the bundled maddies and the corojo and gold bundles very much.
never had a bahia product that has gotten my attention. <shrugs nonchalantly>
consuegras are good if you like villazon smokes (punch, hdm, erdm and a number of other honduran brands) they can be a bit of a crapshoot, though.
