Anyone have any experience with the RabbitAir filter system? Saw it at Big Smoke and was intrigued.
Just built my man cave and thought this might be an answer for air filtration. I hate to put down $500 without some real-life reviews, though. Help a brother out?
I'm specifically looking at...
As some of you already know, I've written a few books over the past couple of years. Fortunately, they've been doing well on Amazon and B&N.com. In the past year, I've sold more than 35k copies of the books in The Peace Warrior Trilogy.
Anyhow, here's the contest: Guess the name of my...
Those of you who've been around awhile might recall the previous BBQ Herfs. Wild Wonderful, West Virginia. Blue Ridge Mountains, Shenandoah River. If not, a quick search should suffice.
Anyhoo...
My bro called to sing a sorry-assed rendition of "happy birthday" yesterday. After clearing...
Guys, I need some help...
There’s a scene in my next book that involves a helicopter rappel. I'm a former paratrooper, which would be great if I was doing a parachute drop. But I am not air assault qualified. I would like to have someone with the right creds give it a quick read for...
The Wifely Unit and I were visiting one of the local street markets this morning. Vendors of all types gather to sell their produce, arts, crafts, etc. One of the woodworking vendors had these out for sale. I thought they were very cool.

Guitar amps (front...
Whoo hoo! The paperback edition of my book, Peace Warrior, is now available. It’s not a newborn baby, but it kinda feels like one. For those who have asked, links to where you can get the paperback are provided on my website: www.stevehawk.com

Okay, my fellow BOTLs. I've tried just about everything I can think of and am throwing in the towel!
I'm in the process of publishing one of my books on Creatspace (POD) and Amazon (Kindle). One of the things I still need to do is submit my cover art in PDF format. Unfortunately, I use GIMP...
My CigarPass 5-year anniversary is coming up soon -- November 12th. I think a contest is in order. Nothing difficult, and this is open to everyone who is a member -- new an old alike. Winner will receive a selection of nice cigars.
Simply guess the number of posts I will have at Noon MST on...
I'm currently visiting a close personal relative who lives in California. We were sitting in his living room last night catching up on things when it hits me -- that very faint, sweet smell I noticed when I first walked in is... pot! I recall the smell from younger days in a previous life...
In a previous job, I worked from home for a couple of years. In my current position, I've been working remotely (from home) for the past few months.
Just this past week I realized that I can work pretty much anywhere so I floated the idea of traveling around the country in a camper to the...
I was going to purchase a copy of MS Office for the wife's new laptop, but a friend suggested looking at OpenOffice instead. Anyone here use this? And, if so, is it a viable alternative to MS Office?
I've checked the web site (OpenOffice.org) and it seems too good to be true -- and you know...
Heading to Vegas next week for the HP Technology Forum. Staying at Mandalay Bay and will be with some co-workers, but I should be avail Tues or Wednesday evening if anyone else is gonna be around. At least one of the guys I'm going to be with is a cigar smoker.
So fellas... here's a newb piper question.
I am not a big fan of the only aromatic tobacco that I have smoked so far. I'm not at home so can't remember the name. It tastes like a flavored cigar, IMO. Would a non-aromatic be more to my liking or am I just smoking the wrong one for me?
I was in WV over the Thanksgiving Holiday visiting my dad and my brother, Dennis (thehatguy).
On the Saturday after Thanksgiving Dennis and I made the trip to Boswell's in PA to meet up with Brewmeister and Mr.Wolf. It was great seeing the store and the artistic pieces that are created...
Just smoked my first LX2 last night (toro). Man, what a nice cigar! This is my all time favorite CAO, hands down. Sorry no pics and no review. Just two big thumbs up on the latest release by CAO.
p.s. So nice, had to buy a box!
The thought of 3rd world pirates being able to do this kind of thing over and over just pisses me off! I'd like to set up some bait ships and take care of some of these turds.

Pretty cool!
Excerpt: A Swiss daredevil crossed the English Channel strapped to a homemade jet-propelled wing Friday, parachuting into a field near the white cliffs of Dover after a 10-minute solo flight.
